Since my arrival at VSB, I've instituted an open-door policy in an effort to best serve our community. Through office hours, student luncheons, special celebrations, town hall meetings, faculty and staff discussions, alumni events, and parent outreach, my goal has been to communicate and--much more importantly--listen to all VSB constituents to learn what's on your mind.
As the "doors" we open to visit one another are now more often virtual than not, I would like to add yet another venue to our ongoing conversations. I'll regularly post items on this blog, and welcome your questions, feedback, and suggestions.
I encourage you to follow this blog, and to regularly participate in the VSB dialogue.

How come there are no comments?
Isn't that what makes a blog?

This blog is a great idea. There is no site that
I know at VU where students can exchange ideas, so I hope it catches on.
I had the Equities course here, and it is difficult,
but a real eye opener. When I read this article
in the New York Times last September, I emailed
my father to pull out of equities in his 401 K and just
park the funds in a money market account.
He would have lost 40% of his life's savings as it turns out.
If you read this article you did not have to be a financial genius to see the trouble that was coming, so
Tolle, Legge, as Augustine used to say.

Congratulations on launching this blog!
I just found out about it from the April NovaNotes Alumni email newsletter. I graduated in 2005 from the Villanova School of Business (then the College of Commerce and Finance), and have since been happily employed with various companies in the marketing and communications industry in Washington, DC. I currently consult federal agencies on how to leverage new media (social media, web 2.0), much like you are doing here, so they may better communicate with constituents, other agencies and various stakeholders.
I commend you on your taking the leap and starting this blog. It shows great leadership, transparency, and I'm sure will strengthen the relationships between current faculty, students and alumni for the benefit of the university as a whole.
I am now subscribing to the blog and look forward to reading future posts!
